CD Technologies Asia, Inc. (CD Asia) was established in 1994 by a group of young lawyers and professionals as the pioneer electronic legal publisher in the Philippines. Now, CD Asia has evolved into a total solutions provider for the legal profession. Atty. Asterio P. Torres obtained an A.B. Political Science degree at the University of the Philippines in 1982. He took up his Bachelor of Laws at the Ateneo de Manila School of Law, where he graduated Second Honors in 1986. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1987. He then practiced law in the Philippines as an associate at Ponce Enrile, Cayetano, Reyes and Manalastas, from 1988 up to 1990, when he became a Senior Associate. He left for the United States in 1990. He subsequently joined the Law Offices of Noriel L. Flores and Associates as a Consultant and has been working as such for more than ten years now. He has been called as an expert witness in Philippine laws by U.S. federal and state courts, especially on the subjects of arbitration and extradition.
